Minnesota Crop Improvement Association (MCIA) is one of the oldest agricultural organizations in the state of Minnesota. It was originally organized in 1903 by people interested in the "systematic encouragement for the use of pedigreed seed." We have grown from a small group of individuals to over 1000 members in Vermont. Today, there are seven state chapters in the Northeast and an Interstate Council.

PCO is also accredited under International Standards Organization (ISO) Guide 65 and the Conseil des Appellations Agroalimentaires du Québec.
